Elizabeth College High school Students

Orientation

Ogilvie, New Town, Cosgrove, and interested students from Huonville and Taroona High Schools visit Elizabeth College for an orientation day during July. These students are able to experience life in a College setting, choosing from a number of different subjects that are offered on that day. Students from other high schools are also welcome on the Orientation day. Elizabeth College usually have visits from Kingston, Sorell, Rosetta and Bridgewater High Schools, as well as country High Schools Geeveston, Woodbridge, Dover, Glenora, Tasman, Ouse, Campaigna, Triabuna, Oatlands and Mountain Heights.

Visits

Throughout the year Elizabeth College Students visit ex-high schools for performances, presentations or as guests in assemblies. Examples of this are presenting prize winners’ photos to Ogilvie, New Town, Cosgrove, Taroona and Huonville High; Stage Band Concerts for grade 10 and invitations to drama performances.

Handbook and Counselling

We deliver handbooks for the following year to Ogilvie, New Town, Cosgrove, Huonville, Taroona, Rosetta and others on request. Parent information evenings are held to explain the features of Elizabeth College, with the option for parents and students to meet subject teachers. Course counselling is held with grade 10 students at Ogilvie, New Town, Cosgrove and others on request.
