Meet Some Students

Lee and Cecilia are preparing to leave Elizabeth
College to head back to China. The pair have been living and
studying here for one and a half years, and both have thoroughly
enjoyed every bit of it.
“I really like the subject choice available here,” said Lee. “In
China, you do not get the same amount of freedom in what you get
to do.”
“The people here are good. Always so friendly,” said Cecilia.
Lee hopes to become an engineer in the future, whilst Cecilia is
interested in setting up her own business. Both think that being
members of ECAAD will help them in the future, and if nothing
else they have enjoyed it immensely. “The abseiling in the
holidays- I had such a great time!” said Lee.
They are both sad to be leaving, but at the same time are
looking forward to going back home to see their families. “I
will miss my friends here when I go,” said Cecilia. Lee on the
other hand, said “the pretty girls!”
We wish them the best of luck in the future, and hope that they
return to visit one day!

although in winter it’s a bit cold. sometimes. We can see snow
on the mountain behind the city. I’m going to do a business

My
name is My. I come from Vietnam. Amongst other things I am
studying Maths and Physical Science, and I am trying to get into
a medical course at university. I think Elizabeth College is a
good school. I have made many new friends here. Everyone is warm
and the teachers are friendly too. In Hobart there are not many
Vietnamese so I can improve my English very much. I also like
the fresh air and peace here.

I’m Trang from Vietnam, and I’m studying in year 12. I like
being at Elizabeth College because there is a variety of
subjects that I can choose to study. I also like living in
Hobart because of the weather. It is too hot in Vietnam. I’m
planning to study Medicine or Medical Research at the University
of Tasmania next year. I live independently in a flat and I
enjoy cooking and looking after myself. |
Korea
 |
I’m
Daniel from South Korea. I’ve been here for 15 months. Elizabeth
College has been good for me, because there are no compulsory
subjects, so I can choose what I want to do. The teachers are
friendly too and they will help you when you have a problem or
don’t understand. I have been studying some great subjects,
including Legal Studies and Modern History. |
